Rapid Rehousing Program


PROGRAM DESCRIPTION

IFSN’ Rapid Rehousing Program offers short and medium–term assistance to homeless families and individuals in order to assist them to obtain and sustain permanent housing. The program is designed to address the specific needs of the participants and includes housing relocation services, on–going supportive services, and financial assistance. Program participants must demonstrate a willingness and ability to attain self-sufficiency.

Housing Relocation Service
  • Outreach to area landlords
  • Assistance locating safe, affordable housing in Sonoma County
  • Housing Workshops to prepare participants for housing search
Housing Stabilization Services
  • Creation of Housing Plan to address identified barriers to maintaining housing
  • Case management services, including budgeting and savings plans, resource and referrals
  • Mediation with landlords
  • Optional mental health therapy
Financial Assistance
  • Rental application fees
  • Security deposits
  • Utility deposits/payments
  • Rent payments
  • Moving costs

ELIGIBILTY CRITERIA

  • Homeless at the time of intake
  • Meet the Extremely Low or Very Low income category based on Sonoma County AMI
  • Resident of Sonoma County
    Note: Lake and Mendocino County relocation may be approved on a case-by-case basis
  • Willing to participate in case management services
